Growing up in the 1970s, like many, I was a devoted fan of Soul Train. And if you were a Soul Train enthusiast, you couldn't help but love the iconic theme song, "TSOP."

Running as the theme from 1973 to 1975, this musical gem was composed by none other than my musical heroes, Leon Huff and Kenny Gamble. "TSOP" soared to the top, claiming the number one spot on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in the spring of 1974.
